GEMS is for women of ALL ages!

We exist to GIVE, EMPOWER, MINISTER and SERVE! GEMS was founded in January 2014 as an intergenerational ministry for women at New Hope Metro. Our is focus on God's word as we navigate through tough issues women face in each season of life. We are intentional about finding biblical answers for all of life’s problems by finding the hidden GEMS in His word and the hidden GEM within us.

What we do...

GIVE

We give because Christ first gave to us. GEMS partner with other faith based non-profit organizations as well as non-profit organizations in community outreach.

She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. Proverbs 31:20 NLT

EMPOWER

We empower others by recognizing their value in God's kingdom. One way we EMPOWER women is by recognizing their achievements and service to the local church. The “YOU Rock” award is given to one outstanding GEM! The recipient of this prestigious award is nominated by her peers based on leadership, servanthood and faithfulness.

MINISTER

We minister God's grace to those around us through our GEMS Seminars. Whether one of our own GEMS share their testimony or a guest speaker presents, we seek to find the hidden GEMS in God's word as well as the hidden GEMS within us!

SERVE

We serve because Christ set the example for us. We serve in our local church as well as the community we live in.

There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!

God is more concerned with who we are BECOMING than what we are DOING!

We understand that in the busyness of life, the most important thing to hold onto is who we are becoming in our journey with Christ. When we minister out of the overflow of who we are in HiM, He is honored.

GEMS are modern day, Proverbs 31 women!

A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or

pearls. Proverbs 31:10 AMP

A GEM is capable of handling any challenge that comes her way because God is with her!

A GEM is intelligent and makes wise decisions.

A GEM is virtuous because she won't settle for less than God's best.

A GEM is valuable! She knows her worth.

My first thought about GEMS was, "Women who were willing to answer the call." Not just a group of ladies who gather together and talk about a purpose and mission, but intricate and devoted women who deeply love Jesus and know that they are called according to His purpose. It has been a great blessing to partner with GEMS, to see how God is blessing others because of their hearts to serve Him. I look forward to growing our ministry for Jesus together, just as Paul says, we are yet one body, but many parts...that there may be no division in the body, but that the many parts may have the same care for one another. (1 Cor. 12.20,25).
